What is a Dine Around? A Dine Around is a chance to connect with the city of New Orleans as business, community and civic leaders around the city will open their doors and each host a dinner for 6 to 12 young professionals. And yes, the meal is gratis.
Who is involved? Well, you! The dinners will be hosted in different neighborhoods by different city leaders, and it's up to you to decide which one you want to attend. Several of the dinners will be themed--see options on registration form--so you can attend a dinner where the discussion will be catered to what you care about.
When is it? Thursday, September 16th - 6:30pm Why should I go? Why shouldn't you? The event will provide an opportunity to connect with other young people in the city, meet some of the most important civic and business leaders in New Orleans, and get a free meal.
Besides all that, we need you to make this event work. This is the first time we've ever done something like this. As a result, all we can promise is that you will have fun while meeting someone new, learning something new, and eating a great meal. After that, we need your feedback. Please join us as we test what we hope will become a great tradition in the New Orleans community.
How do I sign up? Fill out the registration form here. We apologize for its length, but it is necessary that we collect as detailed information as possible for our hosts. They are opening up their house to a bunch of strangers after all. The least we can do is let them know who to expect! Will there be another Inter-Dine Around competition like the past two - "If I Were Mayor" or "Ode to New Orleans"? Yes. One is in the works, but we can not reveal the details until the dinner. Gotta keep it fair for all parties!
