The Dine Around

The Dine Around is one of 504ward’s proudest accomplishments, a city-wide dinner event bringing together city leaders and some of the bright young minds of New Orleans. Established city professionals and their families open up their doors to the young people of New Orleans, share a meal, and talk about the future of our city. 

504ward hosts James Carville and Mary Matalin

To gear up for the 2010 Mayoral election 504ward welcomed political pundits James Carville and Mary Matlin to address a group of the city’s young people. Carville and Matlin spoke to the group about the importance of the upcoming election and answered questions.

White Linen Night Connections Party

This year for White Linen Night 504ward hosted a VIP room on the top floor at the Children’s Museum, VIPs being any member of the 504ward movement. The event allowed 504s to connect, have a drink, and—most importantly—cool off with some air-conditioning.   

504ward $200,000 Business Competition

504ward pledged their commitment to the future of entrepreneurship and youth in New Orleans by hosting the 504ward Business Competition, a competition that helped launch a new business committed to retaining young talent in New Orleans. PlayNOLA, a social sports league for young professionals, won the event in front of a live audience at the Port of New Orleans. Our friends at LaunchPad finished second, securing additional funds to support their excellent shared work space.
